Dr. Samanjoy Mukherjee

Dr. Samanjoy Mukherjee is Head of Department and Consultant in Interventional Cardiology at Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka, New Delhi. He completed his MBBS from the University of North Bengal, MD in Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and DM in Cardiology from the University of Delhi at GB Pant Hospital. With over 28 years of experience according to his hospital profile, he specialises in complex coronary angioplasty, including left main and bifurcation lesions, rotational atherectomy and chronic total occlusion procedures. His expertise also includes balloon mitral valvuloplasty, device closure of septal defects, peripheral and carotid interventions, electrophysiology, radiofrequency ablation, pacemaker implantation and cardiac resynchronisation therapy. He has participated in cardiac stem cell research, including research into autologous stem cell therapy for non-ischaemic dilated cardiomyopathy.
