Dr. Piya Ballani Thakkar is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. After completing her medical education and postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Mumbai, she pursued further training in internal medicine in the United States and completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. She returned to India in 2008 and joined Bombay Hospital. Her clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disorders, reproductive and gynaecological endocrinology, PCOS, menopause, osteoporosis and endocrine complications of pregnancy.
