Dr. Prasad Raj Dandekar

Dr. Prasad Raj Dandekar is the Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai. He has more than 22 years of experience in oncology and completed his MD and DNB in Radiation Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital between 2001 and 2006. He subsequently undertook a fellowship in head and neck cancer at The Royal Marsden NHS Trust Hospital in London, where he received further training in precision radiotherapy techniques. His professional experience includes establishing and leading radiation oncology departments at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bengaluru and Sir H. N. Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai before joining Reliance Foundation Hospital. His clinical interests include precision radiotherapy, image-guided radiation therapy, adaptive radiotherapy and treatment planning for head and neck cancers. He is also involved in cancer awareness activities focused on prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
