Dr. Shefali Desai

Dr. Shefali Desai is a Senior Consultant Breast Surgeon at KD Hospital, Ahmedabad. She holds an MBBS degree, an MS in General Surgery and FAOGU. She has extensive experience in breast surgery and was among the pioneers of laparoscopic surgery in Ahmedabad, helping introduce and develop the technique in the early 1990s. Her expertise includes breast cancer surgery, breast-conserving procedures, mastectomy and reconstruction using implants or prostheses, as well as breast reduction, augmentation and lifting. She has received specialised training in breast cancer surgery and breast implants at international cancer centres and has taught medical students and surgeons in Ahmedabad.
